Domestic Violence Prevention Month: Guest Speaker – Victor Rivers

As a young child, Mr. Rivers endured horrific child abuse and witnessed domestic violence which caused him to live with a series of foster families. Thanks to the intervention of his community, he was able to turn his life around dramatically – going from a hard-core gang member to a senior class president and lettering in four sports. Mr. Rivers recognizes domestic violence as the "the Quiet Crime" and has chosen to lend his voice along with his story in efforts to provide more direct support to programs through information, research, funding, and training. You don’t want to miss hearing his incredible life-changing story.
