Spouse Employment Resources Available Through SpouseWorks
Whether you are relocating to a new duty station, returning to the workforce, or looking to advance your professional journey, building a mobile career as a Marine Corps spouse comes with unique challenges.
The program formerly known as Spouse Education and Career Opportunities (SECO) has officially changed its name to SpouseWorks. While the name is new, the commitment to Marine Corps spouses remains unchanged. SpouseWorks brings together all the trusted tools, financial resources, and career coaching you rely on into one unified, easy-to-use hub.
Marine Corps spouses can easily access these SpouseWorks tools online through the Family Member Employment Assistance Program (FMEAP) page on USMC-MCCS.org. The updated names bring clarity and streamlined navigation to the programs you already know:
- SpouseWorks Scholarship (formerly MyCAA): Eligible spouses can access up to $4,000 in tuition assistance for licenses, credentials, or associate degrees tied to portable career fields.
- SpouseWorks Fellowship (formerly Career Accelerator): Gain hands-on professional experience with paid or direct-placement opportunities hosted by partner employers.
- Military Spouse Employer Partnership (formerly MSEP): Connect directly with hundreds of companies committed to recruiting, hiring, and advancing military spouse talent.
- SpouseWorks Career Coaching Support: Access free, one-on-one expert career coaching for resume reviews, interview prep, and personalized job search guidance.
FMEAP staff stand ready to help spouses continue their careers or find new opportunities. To date in FY26, FMEAP has conducted more than 12,150 one-on-one counseling sessions to help military families reach their professional goals and has hosted 111 networking events that have been attended by 11,115 people.
