Council Meeting Information

A time for like-minded, leadership-oriented Marines and Sailors to discuss issues affecting their unit’s QOL, brainstorm solutions, and strategize the outreach and facilitation of engaging events hosted by SMP. These meetings are conducted by the SMP Executive Members and are vital as they offer active-duty members the chance to collaborate with both each other and SMP staff to directly address the needs and initiatives of Marines and Sailors.

Schedule: Meets on second Wednesday of the month, 1:30-2:30 p.m..

Quality of Life

The SMP contributes to the improvement of total force readiness, job performance, and retention by supporting the enhancement of Quality of Life (QOL) for all single or unaccompanied Marines and Sailors.

Content:

  • Music Room
    • Electric/acoustic/bass guitar, drum set, keyboard, microphones, mixer, speakers and iMac
  • Lounge
    • 75” TV, reclining chairs, massage chairs, various kitchen appliances, and refreshments
  • Gaming Room
    • PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, iMac and laptops
  • Movie Room
    • 85” TV, Bose surround sound, 16 theater style seating with Navy Motion Picture Player
